Friends, I need to ask for your prayers today for our friend, Susan. This is a picture of her from last Thanksgiving at our home.
Susan's health has declined severely in the last several months, including a stint in a nursing facility after a bad fall that exacerbated her hip injury from a car accident many years ago.
Her current situation is more complex than I could begin to explain, so let me get right to the point: Susan needs immediate medical attention for severe kidney stones AND orthopedic surgery to deal with her hip/leg, and each of these treatments is complicated by her fragile bones. She has been on medications for months that are not helping her kidney problem, and her weight has declined even further due to digestive interference, which has also made her incredibly fatigued. In short, we are asking you to join us in praying for some miraculously fast work on the part of Medicaid and the medical community to get her under treatment. And we also are praying for pain relief, and the sustaining grace and peace of the Savior to bring comfort to her soul.
