Remember all of the reasons we celebrate this nation's Independence Day in all of your 4th of July fun. We are truly blessed to have such freedom in this country and blessed to have those that have secured that freedom for us both past, present, and even in the days to come. In triumph and in tragedy we stand united and defiant in the face of any who would challenge our commitment to our freedom to our future to our country. Celebrating all of our heroes on independence day. Embrace your freedom, cherish your freedom, live out your freedom, love with your freedom, worship with your freedom, laugh with your freedom, and celebrate your freedom and enjoy your Independence Day. Have a good, old-fashioned, all-American kinda day. Have a happy and safe 4th of July.

So, here's to you and the red, white, & blue! Go USA!
    Happy Independence Day!

Hi! After you commented, I went to your .net site & found a link to the Daily Office. I've wanted to use something like this for a long time, so I'm glad I found the link. Good to "meet" you!

Curricula I have enjoyed using with my children: K-12 Homeschool; Alpha-Omega Lifepacs; The Well Trained Mind; -- we are looking into something like the Great Books Academy for our eldest who starts Jr. High this fall.

In Re: home school curriculum - what is your area of expertise?

In re: definitions of beliefs, I would have stand with the creeds as the basic doctrinal necessities: The Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed. For modern standards, I have been a member in churches that subscribed both to the WCF and the 39 Articles of Religion. I haven't actually studied them side by side though - that would be interesting.

Hah! Well, I'm not sure how hot the debate would be with a Roman Catholic. It would absolutely depend on the subject matter. I am currently wading through some articles at http://pontifications.wordpress.com/ on two subjects: Justification, and Sola Scriptura. It takes me a long time (I'm a busy home-schooling mom, after all) - I like to be thorough, and it is not a simple thing to shift paradigms.

Hey, so your protestant? Maybe I am looking in the wrong place (hahahaha) -- I am good at getting lost-- But your profile brings me to the question, you homeschool your kids? I am trying to write homeschool curriculumn and I am asking alot of people what sort of homeschool curriculumn is needed, if you have any thoughts on either the area that is wanting or perhaps a specific type of learner that is avoided in curriculumn (i.e. Autistic. etc.) then do share. I love new ideas [and you seem like the type of person to have brillaint ones]. (Any ideas, I might add... No idea is too small! -- to borrow from a similar quotation--) Semper fi, ~Lael Post Scriptum --And do point me to where your definition of your belief/denomination lies! [it is even more interesting now to me... as I looked and observed your likes and dislikes on your profile] I have a feeling it would be fun to see you in hot debate with a Catholic! ; )
